Each month, a new opportunity is featured to help students discover high-quality programs they may not have found on their own. This section is designed to encourage students to take action, explore new interests, and apply early to meaningful experiences that can build their skills and strengthen their future goals.
Congressional App Challenge
Location: Nationwide (including Texas)
Field: Computer Science / Technology / Innovation
Eligibility: Middle and high school students who reside in or attend school in a participating congressional district
Deadline: Typically November each year (ideal to begin preparing during summer, including July)

The Congressional App Challenge is a nationwide coding competition that encourages students to create and submit original apps addressing real-world problems. Participants can work individually or in teams and gain experience in programming, design, entrepreneurship, and problem-solving.
